As such, the farmers are very happy and contented of a very good year, and a most productive season.   Read more...

Information Technology... “It seems as though people assume information technology to be the solution for prosperity and continuous development, while at the same time they hold technological artifacts to be a bearer of something that contradicts what they see as core of  a good life. So, while there is a strong general acceptance on information technology, there is also a fear that it will force us into a way of living that we cannot handle or do not really want” – Erik Stolterman & Anna Croon Fors The Information Technology Corner provides a wide array of services to the entire LGU community—from e-mail, to the internet and network system, to developing and maintaining computer hardware and software, to website development, in-house software development, "assisting/educating"  employees in addressing anything that is technology related.    Read more...

Palpaliiw.... Charge to Experience We had experienced complicated situations for the year 2008. These are the many faces that year 2008 gave to us and makes us wondering how we survive the many events – locally, nationally and even internationally and this affect us directly or indirectly. My friend in the U.S. told me in one occasion we chat on the phone, that the world today is getting into recession, due to the worsening global economic crisis. Recession has been all over the world. Rebuilding Batac Institute Reality or Fiction? For a couple of years now I have been hearing about snippets of news on the deteriorating state of the lone school building of the Batac Institute.  Sadly, I saw it to be true when I was home in Batac just recently.  The school building needs an “extreme makeover” – to be gutted to the foundation and to be rebuilt with the freshest and most durable materials.  And rightfully so – this was the great school where many ambitious and talented students got their solid foundations for bright futures in the medical, legal, political, technical, and other fields.  The same school that produced responsible, honorable, and strong pillars of societies, in Batac and elsewhere   Read more...
