The City Government of Batac awarded today the certificates of accreditation to 50 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) during the 7th Regular Session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Vice Mayor Albert Chua. Of these, 24 are newly accredited while 26 renewed their accreditation.
The accreditation follows DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2025-060, which mandates the recognition of CSOs. Accreditation allows these organizations to partner with government agencies in program implementation and to gain representation in local governance bodies. This ensures transparency, accountability, and greater people’s participation in public programs and decision-making.
