The City Government of Batac, led by Mayor Markee R. Chua, has again rolled out its Fuel Subsidy Program to support local farmers during the dry cropping season.
The program helps farmers irrigate their farms, lower production costs, and protect crop yields amid the dry season.
A total of 6,227 farmers listed in the Registry System for Basic Sector in Agriculture (RSBSA) are benefiting from the program. Each beneficiary was validated based on crop type, land area, and fuel needs per hectare to determine the subsidy.
Distribution started on January 27 and is being handled by the Office of the City Agriculturist.
