Mayor Markee R. Chua recently met with Pag-IBIG Fund Chief Executive Officer Marilene C. Acosta to discuss possible partnerships on affordable housing and savings programs for Batac residents.
During the meeting, both officials highlighted the importance of expanding access to affordable housing and encouraging more workers and families to take part in Pag-IBIG Fund’s savings programs, including the MP2 Savings Program. They also discussed opportunities for future housing developments and financing programs that can help low- and middle-income earners achieve homeownership.
Mayor Markee expressed support for initiatives that will provide residents with decent and affordable housing while promoting financial literacy and long-term savings. Meanwhile, Acosta reaffirmed Pag-IBIG Fund’s commitment to supporting government housing programs through accessible home loans and improved digital services for members.
The meeting, held on May 8, 2026 at the Office of the Mayor in the City of Batac, was also attended by Jacqueline O. Constantino, Acting Vice President-MSO; Edison J. Iglesia, Branch Head–Ilocos Norte; Meriam N. Pamittan, Area Head–Ilocos Region; and Joy Tesoro-Jara, Housing Program Focal Person of Pag-IBIG Ilocos Norte.
