The City Government of Batac has started distributing emergency go bags to more than 14,000 households across the city as part of its intensified disaster preparedness and resilience campaign.
Distribution started this week, May 19, beginning with the urban barangays. A total of 43 barangays will receive the assistance, with one go bag provided for every household.
Each emergency go bag contains essential items that can help families respond quickly during emergencies. These include a medical kit, power bank, flashlight, raincoat, emergency blanket, glow lights, a disaster preparedness manual, and a waterproof bag.
Mayor Markee R. Chua emphasized that the initiative aims to help every Batacqueño family become more prepared and ready during emergencies and disasters.
During the distribution, short briefings to guide residents on how to properly use the go bag and understand its importance were also conducted.
Through this initiative, the City Government of Batac continues to help families become more prepared and safe during emergencies and disasters.
