The City Government of Batac, led by Mayor Mark Christian “Markee” R. Chua, together with the Sangguniang Panlungsod headed by Vice Mayor Albert D. Chua, formally recognized the remarkable achievements of the Mariano Marcos State University – College of Health Sciences (CHS) and two outstanding Batacqueño board exam topnotchers on June 2, 2026.
A Resolution of Commendation was awarded to MMSU-CHS for being recognized as the No. 1 Pharmacy School in the Philippines after posting an impressive 90.43% passing rate in the April 2026 Pharmacists Licensure Examination and producing six topnotchers. The commendation was received by Dr. Virgilio Julius P. Manzano Jr., MMSU President, together with other university officials.
The City Government likewise honored Kyla Camille S. Ortal, a resident of Barangay Baay and graduate of MMSU, for placing second in the April 2026 Pharmacy Licensure Examination. Also recognized was Joan Claire B. Carlos, a resident of Barangay Colo and graduate of MMSU, for securing the 8th place in the November 2025 Philippine Nurses Licensure Examination.
MMSU was lauded for its continued contribution to producing competent professionals who help advance the healthcare sector and nation-building. The awardees were also commended for bringing honor and pride to the City of Batac and serving as an inspiration to the youth to pursue excellence in their chosen fields.
