As part of the 19th Charter Day Celebration of the City of Batac, the City Government of Batac, led by Mayor Markee R. Chua, Vice Mayor Albert D. Chua, and the Sangguniang Panlungsod, commenced the distribution of free fertilizers to registered farmers on June 10, 2026.
A total of 6,396 farmers registered under the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) will benefit from the program, which aims to help ease the burden of rising fertilizer costs and support increased farm productivity.
The assistance includes organic fertilizer and various inorganic fertilizers such as 25-0-0 Ammonium Chloride, 14-14-14 Complete Fertilizer, and 16-20-0 fertilizer for tobacco farmers. A total of 29,850 bags of fertilizer will be distributed, with allocations based on the size of each farmer’s cultivated land.
This initiative reflects the City Government’s continued commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector and ensuring that Batac’s farmers receive the support they need to sustain their livelihood.
