Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian visited the City of Batac today to meet with beneficiaries of key social welfare programs and witness their impact on local communities.
His visit began at the Batac Public Market, where he met vendors who benefited from the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the DSWD. He then proceeded to the Quiling Sur Community Center to join the Family Development Session (FDS) attended by Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries.
Secretary Gatchalian was warmly welcomed by Mayor Mark Christian “Markee” R. Chua and Vice Mayor Albert D. Chua, together with members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, reaffirming the city’s support for programs that uplift the lives of Batacqueños.
