The Office of the President, through Assistant Secretary Ana Carmela Ventura-Remigio, conducted a site inspection of the Batac Public Market to personally assess the damage caused by the fire incident on July 5, 2026.
During the visit, she assured Mayor Markee R. Chua and Vice Mayor Albert D. Chua that President Bongbong Marcos has directed concerned government agencies to extend available assistance to market vendors. The Office of the President also expressed its commitment to support efforts to help vendors recover and rebuild their livelihoods.
