The City Government of Batac distributed 9-kilowatt silent-type diesel generator sets to all 43 barangays to strengthen their capacity to provide services, especially during disasters and emergencies.
The project aims to provide barangays with a reliable source of electricity during power outages and calamities, when continuous communication and delivery of basic services are most needed.
Mayor Markee R. Chua emphasized that the generator sets are not only for the use of the Sangguniang Barangay but are intended to benefit the entire community, particularly during emergencies.
Also present during the distribution were members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, headed by Vice Mayor Albert D. Chua, who expressed their full support for the project and its benefits to the barangays.
The distribution forms part of the City Government’s continuing efforts to equip barangays with essential resources and improve disaster preparedness and response across the city.
