President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., together with the Marcos family, led the commemoration of the 109th birth anniversary of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., through a wreath-laying ceremony, joined by national, provincial, and city officials and members of the community. A Thanksgiving Mass was also offered as part of the celebration.
Batac, the hometown of former President FEM, served as the center of the province-wide commemoration held today, September 11.
Beyond remembering the former President, the celebration highlighted Batac’s local culture, food, and livelihood through the Natnateng Cook-Off, which showcased traditional and locally grown ingredients, and Mercato ni Nanay Ces, which provided a venue for local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to showcase and sell their products.
