To help boost and promote sports development, the City Government of Batac partnered with Vantage Hog Feeds for the Vantage Basketball Tournament.
It is a basketball tournament open to all interested teams and players not only from Ilocos Norte but also from other regions.
Since a significant number of basketball enthusiasts from neighboring towns and provinces are coming to watch the basketball events, Mayor Albert D. Chua sees this as a chance to promote sports tourism in the city.
The tournament is held at the Imelda Cultural Center, and runs until February.
During its opening weekend last January 21, the city government also organized a pop-up food fair to boost opportunities for our local merchants.
