The City Government of Batac has started the distribution of school supplies and hygiene kits to all public school students in the city on Monday, February 13.
Mayor Albert D. Chua and Vice Mayor Windell D. Chua led the kick-off distribution held at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Senior High School (FEMSHS) with 598 student recipients.
Mayor Chua, in his message, said they hope that the students will make use of the school supplies wisely. He also stressed the continuing efforts of the city government to support the students’ educational needs and well-being.
In response, Angel Castro, President of FEMSHS student organization and Mrs. Pepsi Duldulao, Head Teacher III, expressed their gratitude to the leadership of Mayor Chua for the various programs and initiatives consistently extended to the education sector.
More than 9,500 learners from the seven public high schools and 26 elementary schools are receiving a school supplies package that contains notebooks, pens, art materials and pad papers, umbrella, tumbler, hand towels, toothbrush and alcohol.
The distribution is scheduled until the end of February, 2023.
