The City Government of Batac, led by Mayor Albert D. Chua, has received the highest degree of opinion from the Commission on Audit (COA) for the concluded fiscal year, 2022. The COA bestowed an ‘unmodified opinion’ on the city’s 2022 Financial Statements, underscoring the fairness, reliability, and accuracy of the financial information they contain.
This top rating is a testament to the City Government of Batac’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and reflects positively on its Financial Administration and Sustainability performance. This area is one of the 10 key metrics used to measure performance for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
Special recognition was also extended to the Office of the City Accountant under Mrs. Florida S. Cadano. The office’s commitment to upholding integrity and rigorous compliance to rules and regulations in all financial transactions of the city was cited as a significant contributor to this achievement.
This recognition marks a decade since the city government last received this highest degree of audit opinion. This remarkable accomplishment underscores the local government’s commitment to good governance, fiscal responsibility, and transparency.
