MAYOR ALBERT D. CHUA HONORED AS CSC PRESIDENTIAL LINGKOD BAYAN REGIONAL AWARDEE

In acknowledgment of his exemplary contributions in the areas of agriculture, health, social services, education, and local governance, particularly during the challenging times of the pandemic, Mayor Albert D. Chua has been distinguished as a Presidential Lingkod Bayan Regional Awardee by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).

Mayor Chua’s dedication to the community did not go unnoticed. Mr. Joel Malunao, Administrative Officer of the Schools Division of the City of Batac, put forward a compelling nomination, highlighting Mayor Chua’s innovative strategies, unwavering commitment, and resilient leadership that have been instrumental in navigating the challenges of the pandemic.

On September 21, in a ceremony held at the CSC Field Office I in San Fernando City, La Union, Mayor Chua was conferred with the official Plaque of Recognition, commemorating his exemplary service to the public.

Jail Chief Inspector Cremencio A. Alones Jr., who served at the Batac District Jail from 2020 to March 2023 was also honored with the Presidential LIngkod Bayan Regional Award. During his tenure as Jail Warden, the Batac District Jail was recognized as Best District Jail in the National Level by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).

The Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award is part of the Search for Outstanding Government Workers of the CSC Honor Awards Program (HAP), the rewards and incentives program of the CSC that recognizes government officials and employees who have displayed outstanding work performance.

Witnessing the awarding of recognition for Mayor Albert D. Chua were Schools Division Superintendent Anselmo Aludino, City Human Resource Management Officer Marlon Soria and Community Affairs Officer Angelica Yumul.
