The City Government of Batac has once again shown its commitment to promoting unity and discipline among its employees with the launch of the CGB Sportsfest 2023. Coinciding with the annual celebration of the Philippine Civil Service Anniversary every September, this sports tournament is not just an exhibition of physical ability but also a reflection of the city’s vibrant culture and dedication to public service.
City government employees have been organized into competitive teams. These teams are set to showcase their skills in a variety of sporting events, from the modern to the traditional, including the ‘laro ng lahi’.
Mayor Albert D. Chua took the lead in the event’s opening held on September 25. “The CGB Sportsfest is more than just a game. It’s an embodiment of our shared values, our dedication to service, and our commitment to fostering a harmonious and disciplined work environment,” said Mayor Chua. He believes that through friendly competition, the bonds among city employees will be further strengthened, thereby enhancing teamwork and efficiency in serving the Batac community.
