To escalate efforts in combating livestock pandemic, the City Government of Batac through the City Veterinary Office distributed one piglet, dewormer, antibiotic, vitamins and starter feeds to each of the 308 hog raisers affected by African Swine Fever.
The beneficiaries also undergone seminar conducted by the City Veterinary Office under the supervision of Dr. Ramonito Baltazar to further educate them about successfully raising their piglets. In case the piglet shows symptoms of sickness, the hog raisers are encouraged to report it immediately to the City Veterinary Office at the City Hall.
This is another manifestation of the City Government’s commitment in extending its best services and support to progressively elevate the socioeconomic status of the city.
