88 beneficiaries received financial aid under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the City Government of Batac on February 26, Monday.
Different types of assistance were granted to the beneficiaries, including burial assistance, medical assistance, and educational assistance. The amount of cash aid received by each beneficiary varied depending on type of assistance they have qualified for.
City Mayor Albert D. Chua also spoke, sharing to the beneficiaries that the city’s doors are always open to help Batacqueños in need, and expounding that the city also provides food assistance for those who are not able to afford the necessity.
Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Markee Chua was also in attendance, delivering a speech reiterating the CGB’s eagerness to aide its citizens in surviving through difficult times.
The distribution was facilitated by the City Social Welfare and Development Office and the City Treasury Office.
