The City Government of Batac, under the leadership of Engr. Albert D. Chua has launched a new initiative to support and promote pregnancy healthcare. The City Health Office conducted the “Gandang Buntis ng Batac 2024” pageant on May 30, celebrating the beauty and strength of expectant mothers.
It aimed to raise awareness about the unique needs of pregnant women and promote a supportive and inclusive community for all mothers-to-be.
The pageant featured nine participants from various barangays, showcasing their grace and resilience. The top three winners received cash prizes of P10,000, P7,000, and P5,000, along with a free ultrasound from Northmed Clinic. All other contestants received P1,000 and a certificate of participation. Each participant was also given a maternal kit containing underpads, tissue, wet wipes, and feminine wash.
