The Barani Minipark Urban Garden has bagged the championship at the 2024 Regional Search for the Best Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture Garden – Macrogarden category. The garden’s remarkable features and the dedication of the Barangay Officials were celebrated during the awarding ceremony on July 31, 2024, in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
Meanwhile, the Gulayan sa Barangay of Barangay Caunayan was awarded First Place in the Microgarden Category.
This initiative by the National Urban and Peri-Urban Agriculture Program (NUPAP) and the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) aims to maintain food production at home and in the community.
This achievement showcases the hard work and innovative practices that have made Barani Minipark Urban Garden and Barangay Caunayan’s Gulayan sa Barangay a standout in urban and peri-urban agriculture.
