In observance of World Patient Safety Day today, September 17, the City of Batac held a bomb explosion simulation aimed at raising community awareness on proper emergency response procedures.
The activity, spearheaded by the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMH&MC), was conducted in collaboration with the City Government of Batac, the Philippine National Police (PNP), PNP Bomb Squad, and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Residents participated and witnessed the demonstration, enhancing their preparedness for emergencies. The event emphasized the importance of community involvement in ensuring safety during critical incidents.
The program concluded with the ceremonial lighting of a large hard hat, symbolizing commitment to safety and preparedness.
