As part of their Legislative Awareness Week, officials from the Office of the Sangguniang Bayan of Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur, conducted a Benchmarking Activity at the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of Batac on September 20.
The delegation, led by Acting Mayor Hon. Michael S. Florendo and Acting Vice Mayor Rema Pazvia D. Cabatu, comprised of the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, legislative staff, and Barangay Secretaries. The primary objective of the visit was to benchmark the best practices and systems of the City of Batac’s legislative office, which was recognized as one of the top awardees in the 2023 Regional Legislative Awards.
Insights into Batac’s Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) were also shared, highlighting the important role of legislation and the involvement of Barangay Secretaries in its efficient implementation.
The delegation received a warm welcome from Batac’s legislative staff, led by SP Secretary Ms. Gladys R. Lagura, and the Sangguniang Panlungsod, headed by Vice Mayor Atty. Windell D. Chua.
