The City Government of Batac, under the leadership of Mayor Albert D. Chua, continues the rollout of the Pasilaw Pro-Poor Program to thirty-four (34) beneficiaries on October 28.
This program is designed to provide underserved households with the necessary resources for electrical access. It offers free consultations, electrical plans, materials, and installation services to eligible families.
Each beneficiary received an electrical kit, which included PDX electrical wires, power plugs and sockets, a junction box, a switch, a receptacle, a convenience outlet, LED lights, a spool, electrical tape, and insulated staple wire.
The distribution event was organized by the City Building Office team, led by Engr. Richard Pungtilan. This program is also in partnership with the Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative and the Electrical Engineering Department of the Mariano Marcos State University – College of Engineering.
