The City Government of Batac distributed fertilizer discount vouchers to 526 farmers, courtesy of a grant from the Department of Agriculture on March 5.
It was attended by city officials, led by Mayor Albert Chua together with Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba, who demonstrated their commitment to further empower the farming community. The vouchers will enable farmers to purchase fertilizers at a discounted rate, helping to increase their productivity and profitability.
This program is part of the Department of Agriculture’s efforts to provide support to farmers, especially in light of rising fertilizer prices.
