The City Government of Batac held a formal turnover ceremony on June 13, 2025, to ensure a smooth and orderly transition of leadership following the recent elections.
Incumbent and newly-elected leaders officially turned over important documents to newly elected officials, in the presence of the Local Government Transition Team (LGTT). The LGTT, composed of department and section heads, representatives from national government agencies, and civil society organizations, witnessed the process aimed at safeguarding government records, managing key processes, and ensuring continuity in governance.
Vice Mayor Windell Chua turned over responsibilities to incumbent Mayor and Vice Mayor-elect Albert Chua, while Mayor Albert Chua, in turn, handed over to Mayor-elect Markee Chua. Outgoing and incoming members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod also witnessed the ceremonial handover.
