In celebration of National Disability Rights Week (July 17–23), the City Government of Batac recognized SPM Eleuterio Salamangkit during its Flag-Raising Ceremony for his inspiring story of success despite physical disability.
SPM Salamangkit shared that simply keeping up with others is already a big achievement for persons with disabilities (PWDs), encouraging fellow PWDs to persevere.
The City Government of Batac also honored nine PWD graduates who received tokens of recognition for their achievement.
Mayor Markee Chua expressed hope that both PWDs and able-bodied individuals draw inspiration from his story and from the nine PWD graduates honored during the program.
