The just concluded battle of the bands at the Imelda Cultural Center on June 20 fires up the start of the week-long 16th Charter Anniversary celebration of the City of Batac. Seven local bands participated and showcased their exceptional talents in musical arts.
Break the Code band dominated the competition and received 10,000 pesos cash prize, followed by Kaizen band in second place who received 8,000 pesos, and Lumpia band in third place who received 6,000 pesos. All the other participants received a consolation prize of 3,000 pesos. And sponsors like Hi-factor generously give gift packages to each participant.
Mayor Albert D. Chua expressed his appreciation to all the participants, vowing to continuously support local talents so they can hone their skills better.
This successful event of the City Government of Batac was facilitated by the Tourism and Events Section led by Ms. Merlyn Gorospe.
With more than 22,000 Facebook live views, and an energetic crowd at the event’s place, the City Government of Batac will surely include this kind of activity in its future celebrations to encourage more locals in sharing their talents.
