Strengthening its effort to drive agricultural productivity and enhance food security in the province, the City Government of Batac, led by Mayor Albert D. Chua, is once again distributing free palay seeds to Batacqueño farmers.
The program benefits over 2000 farmers who were not listed or not prioritized by other similar agricultural support agencies. This approach ensures that no farmer is left behind and demonstrates the city government’s commitment to an equitable agricultural sector.
The distribution held on June 6 was marked by the presence of Vice Mayor Windell D. Chua and members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod to collectively show the city government’s unwavering support to its farming community.
Scheduled on June 6-8 at the Tabug Community Center, the distribution is facilitated by the Office of the City Agriculturist.
