Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba remains steadfast in his commitment to his District, consistently extending substantial assistance to constituents of the City of Batac.
On June 8, Cong. Barba spearheaded the TUPAD (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers) payout to 160 recipients after completing a 15-day community work.
TUPAD is a community-based program of assistance of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers.
Joined by Mayor Albert D. Chua, Vice Mayor Windell D. Chua and some members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, Cong. Barba reinforced his commitment towards the welfare and progress of his constituents.
The TUPAD payout was facilitated by DOLE Ilocos Norte headed by Ms. Janilyn Martin, together with the Public Employment Service Office of Batac headed by PESO Manager, Mr. Marlon Soria.
During the said activity, Cong. Barba also turned over nutritional supplements for pregnant women to the City Health Office as a support to the wellbeing of pregnant women in the city. These were received by Dr. Hayzell Joy Resurreccion and Ms. Anne Bernadette Samsam.
