The City Government of Batac held a Tree Planting Activity today, June 15, 2024, in celebration of Arbor Day. The event was spearheaded by Mayor Albert D. Chua and actively participated by the city officials, city government employees, Barangay & SK officials, and personnel from DepEd Batac, PNP Batac, BFP Batac, BJMP Batac and DepEd Batac.
The Ilocos Norte Police Provincial Office, led by Provincial Director PCOL Frederick Obar, also joined the initiative.
Arbor Day in Batac is observed annually every third Saturday of June, as established by City Ordinance No. 3SP 2013-04.
