On July 12, 2024, fourteen thousand households in the City of Batac began receiving 4 kilograms of rice each. This initiative provides relief to families affected by Super Typhoon Egay in 2023.
The rice assistance, funded by the Office of the President, is being distributed by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. Spearheading the distribution efforts are Sangguniang Panlungsod Members Markee Chua and Ibarra Crisostomo.
