City of Batac officials led by Mayor Albert D. Chua, community leaders, and residents gathered today, September 1, to commemorate the 84th Death Anniversary of Msgr. Gregorio L. Aglipay, the First Obispo Maximo of Iglesia Filipina Independiente.
The solemn wreath-laying ceremony paid tribute to his enduring contributions to the nation’s history and the spirit of independence.
The 1st day of September is declared as a special non-working holiday in Batac to commemorate the death anniversary of Aglipay by virtue of Republic Act No. 6701.
