OVER 6,400 FARMERS RECEIVE FREE FERTIIZERS FROM THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF BATAC

The City Government of Batac, under the leadership of Mayor Albert Chua , has begun the distribution of free fertilizers to more than 6,400 farmers who are registered in the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA) for this year’s main cropping season.

This continuing program aims to empower local farmers and help enhance food security in the province, supporting the agricultural sector’s continued growth.

The amount of fertilizer allotted to each eligible farmer depends upon the size of the land they cultivate, as recorded in the RSBSA.

5,001 square meters = 1 bag complete, 1 bag organic, 3 bags urea

2,501-5,000 square meters = 1 bag complete, 1 bag organic, 2 bags urea

2,500 square meters & below = 1 bag complete, 2 bag organic, 1 bag urea

The distribution, which commenced on May 5, is being conducted in every barangay and facilitated by the Office of the City Agriculturist.

Vice Mayor Windell D. Chua, together with the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod, is attending the scheduled distributions to demonstrate the city government’s commitment in empowering our farmers.

Along with the distribution of free fertilizers, the city government will also be distributing free hybrid vegetable seeds to eligible vegetable growers.
