With its aim to strengthen the capacity of the Sangguniang Barangay in local governance, the City Government of Batac in cooperation with the Department of Interior and Local Government, conducted a one-day seminar dubbed as “Continuing Education on Legislation for Sangguniang Barangay Members” on February 15, 2023 at Barangay Quiling Sur Community Center. It was attended by all the Punong Barangays and Barangay Secretaries of the city.
The seminar-workshop specifically focused on the fundamentals of local legislation and on the creation of barangay resolutions and ordinances.
In his message, Vice Mayor Windell D. Chua underscored that the participants should take advantage of all the learnings they will gain in order to enhance their capacities as public officials.
Ms. Gladys R. Lagura – Sangguniang Panlungsod Secretary, Hon. Bismark Angelo A. Quidang – Sangguniang Panlungsod Member and Mr. Rodel D. Hilario – City Local Government Operations Officer served as the resource speakers.
